The Rangers are facing adversity for the first time in the playoffs, dropping Games 4 and 5 to the Carolina Hurricanes. They now face a tough challenge, looking to close out their series in Raleigh. The Blueshirts had a good enough Game 4, but a late powerplay goal by Brady Skjei sunk them. They then no-showed in Game 5.
The good news is the Rangers generally respond well after a no-show. They usually respond well after losses too, but Game 5 was possibly the worst game we’ve seen from them all season. They know it. We know it. Now it’s time to close it out.
