After losing their first game of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Rangers are back home in their second attempt to close out the Carolina Hurricanes. The Canes played one of their best games of the postseason and still needed a late powerplay goal to seal the deal.
We haven’t seen a truly desperate Rangers team yet, and while tonight isn’t a must win, there will be some level of desperation to avoid having this series go back to Raleigh for a Game 6. The Rangers have been good in games following losses this season, and Peter Laviolette said all the right things after Game 4.
Let’s hope the Rangers close this out quickly tonight.
